This aging-in-place remodel transformed the home into a space the owners can comfortably live in for years to come. The project began with the removal of a detached garage, followed by a new addition to the back and side of the house. This expansion allowed for the creation of a new two-car garage, laundry room, primary bathroom, walk-in closet, hall bathroom, and a welcoming entryway adjacent to the kitchen.
A key goal for the homeowners was ensuring the entire home could be fully accessible by wheelchair should the need arise. To support this, the design focused on eliminating as many thresholds as possible, creating smooth transitions throughout the space while maintaining both function and comfort.
