Passionate People, Personalized Service

We have worked with Excel twice in the past ten years. Our remodeled kitchen and primary bath are beautiful. Living in a 50-year-old log home made our projects challenging. But the folks at Excel were amazing. Brian's designs and product selections cannot be matched in their quality, uniqueness and beauty. Plus, he's fun and enjoyable! The project managers, construction leads and sub contractors were excellent. Everyone stayed on schedule, continuously communicated, found creative solutions, and were always polite, pleasant and accommodating. We would highly recommend Excel to anyone wanting a professional, memorable and timeless remodel.

We live in a Sears Roebuck on-site built kit home from the 1940s. These homes have a rich history and less than 50 thousand still exist today. We love our home and its location and didn’t really want to move. Unfortunately our home was under a 1,000 sq ft with 1 bathroom and a teeny tiny kitchen. We needed more room ! We hired Excel to expand our home by adding an additional master bathroom with upstairs laundry, a large open kitchen and a den.

Excel is simply amazing!
We were given a 60 day plan of action and yes, Excel kept to the schedule and completed our remodel as scheduled.

Alicia, our designer worked with our plan and layout to accommodate our unique choices like outlets inside of cabinets. She understood the concept we wanted and adjusted as needed to bring it to fruition. She also understood we want to age in place. Our home can now accommodate a wheelchair. We have wider doors, handles instead of door knobs, etc. Our home is handicap accessible if needed in the future.

Bill, our lead carpenter and Tom truly care about the job they do. Each day I would stop in at lunch to see the progress. They took the time to modify or adjust so many little details. As a left handed individual, I had certain modifications I wanted and they understood. These awesome guys even made me a built-in dog feeder for our Akita!

Excel’s tile person was also able to work in Franciscan tiles on the backsplash. The backsplash now matches my Franciscan dishes.

Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased with our new and old home. One of our biggest concerns was to ensure this addition did not look or feel like it had been added as an afterthought. Excel made it happen and our neighbors have remarked how the addition looks like it’s always been there.

Excel has done 9 projects for us over the last 15 years that have ranged from bathroom remodels to major kitchen expansion remodels and a significant porch addition. We've done competitive bids and have found them to be less costly. Their willingness to stand behind the quality of their work makes them a highly trusted operation.

We had Excel remodel our bathroom in 2020, and we loved the results so much, we had them remodel our kitchen in 2024! We loved working with Brian, Bill, Thom, and the guys. They are very knowledgeable, and gifted, in their respective crafts. Additionally, they set a schedule, and stuck to it. There were no surprises, or additional costs. Everything was exceedingly transparent, and they definitely earned our trust. The guarantee of their work was also a huge factor in our decision to go with them, and they have come through. Because we are so happy with the work they’ve done for us, we are in the process of scheduling another remodel with Excel!

First, a screened porch converted to a living space and a deck addition. Then the rest of the first floor (kitchen, floors, powder room) a year later. Designers are personable and work to make your vision a reality. Work was excellent and completed in the projected time. Contractors are professional and courteous. We are thrilled with the end results of both projects. Highly recommend!

I am proud to recommend Excel remodeling team to anyone that needs a Bathroom remodel. We love all the natural light and the finish touches. The Shower is awesome! From the design team to the tradesman that worked on the project, they performed as one unit. They set a project start date and finish date and struck to it. From the rip out to the installing the final touches and they answered any questions we had. They began with a kickoff meeting before the project began. My wife and I are very pleased with our new master bathroom! Thanks to Alicia & Bill and Jim and the team! I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is thinking about a remodeling project.

Excel Remodeling did an amazing job rejuvenating both of our main floors! Every wall was repainted, every floor was replaced, the Master Bath was redesigned, 2 other Bathrooms were redone, a Kitchen backsplash was installed, along with numerous lighting & fan projects. All were completed in about 2 months. There was a manufacturing defect for the first LVP option chosen, and it took 3 weeks to get a replacement product ordered & delivered, but Excel adeptly juggled efforts and still stayed on schedule. Will definitely use Excel for other projects in the future!

It was a great experience. Brian was so efficient and helped us get through the actual stress of redecorating. He guided us without “forcing“ us through many decisions that came our way. We welcomed him back to redo two bathrooms, which came out so functional and beautiful at the same time! The men were very good at what they did, always listening if we had any concerns. Thank you, Brian and his crew!

We have worked with Excel 3 times. Two bathrooms and a kitchen. From start to finish the team worked with us explaining things in detail. Everything came together seamlessly. The vision Brain has worked beautifully. I couldn’t be more pleased. I would recommend their work.

After evaluating a number of local firms, we selected Excel to remodel our master bath. Our designer, Brian, provided a nice array of options which included different color and layouts for our consideration. Brian was professional, highly personable, and very engaged throughout our process. He presented a final detailed schematic and color scheme, so we knew what to expect for the finishes. Our site project leader, Bill, was also great to work with. He managed the schedule well, kept us informed at each step, ensured the crews were punctual daily, and cleaned up nicely after each day. Our experience with Excel was so positive, we followed up with a 2nd project a few months later to have another bathroom remodeled. Although there are no doubt less expensive options to consider locally, the quality of the work, materials used, and punctuality in getting the job done on time and on agreed upon budget set Excel apart in our decision. We are very happy with the results and recommend to others.

Larry came out to repair a bathroom wall that was damaged due to an oversight when the shower was installed. I just wanted to express our appreciation for the work he did. He was prompt, courteous and professional. His work was excellent. The wall is literally better than new. Plus, he explained the cause and the steps he took to mitigate the damage. (Larry had come out to our house over a year ago as a follow-up to the extensive renovations that Excel had done. He was, as well, very friendly and professional at that time.)

We were told when we had the renovations done that there would be some “settling” (for example cabinet doors might become slightly misaligned, etc.) and that Excel would honor their guarantee of excellent workmanship. This was a major reason we used Excel. Another reason was their promise to finish the work by a hard deadline. Excel came through with flying colors in both these areas.

We also wanted to express our appreciation for the incredible work that Bill Browning did in managing our renovations. His attention to detail and his quality workmanship and supervision in so many areas really stood out. It’s been a few years now, but we cannot overstate how grateful we are as we continue to enjoy the fruits of the labor of Bill, Larry and others on your Excel team (and Brian Miller of course!).

We had 2 bathrooms remodeled by Excel Remodeling. We own an older home and there were several challenges along the way. Their lead carpenter and contractors were able to work through all of them. Alicia came up with some great ideas with the tile work for both the floor and shower enclosure. I highly recommend them for your remodeling needs.

We hired Excel to remodel our kitchen and couldn't be happier. Brian was instrumental in helping us finalize the design, the communication throughout was excellent, and the project began and ended exactly on schedule (and on budget!). Seth, the on-site project manager, was also wonderful to work with, and kept us in the loop about everything Excel was doing and any items we needed to take care of to keep the project moving. Very highly recommended. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We have used Excel Remodeling on multiple occasions, for kitchen, bath and family room remodels, and it’s always a great experience. They are easy to work with, and the results have all been superior. Highly recommended.

They did a wonderful job remodeling our kitchen. Everything looks great and they were on time and in budget!

We had a wonderful experience with Excel for our complete kitchen and powder room remodel. Alicia and her design team were fantastic to work with to bring our ideas to reality. The construction team was very courteous and accommodating during the renovations. They were 100% on schedule and in fact completed a little early. We are thrilled and impressed with the results – as are all of our houseguests who cannot believe it is the same home!

Excel Remodeling recently turned my 15-year-old bathroom into a SPA!! The entire process from start to finish was professional and exactly what they had promised from our first meeting. Throughout  the 2-week remodel, we were consulted at each level of the work that was in progress. From installing the tile floor to the beautiful quartz counters, we were asked to give our thoughts and comments before anyone left for the day. Even when we requested some changes to the design of the flooring pattern, there were never any complaints. Each person arrived on time EVERY day and it was apparent that they were well-chosen craftsmen who had done this many times before. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone wanting to update their home with the knowledge that when the job is complete, you will be TOTALLY satisfied!

We worked with Jim Mirando Sr in 1980's to build a two story addition for us and then a few years later we hired Excel again to build an enclosed patio. In the 1990's Excel remodeled our main bathroom.  Those jobs were completed by professional craftsmen, and three decades later we continue to be so pleased that we hired Excel again.  We worked with Jim Mirando Jr and his designer daughter. Our 43-year-old kitchen was in serious need of updating and we are quite pleased to say that the quality of the work and the professionalism of everyone we had contact with could not have been higher. If and when another remodel/construction job is desired, we will certainly be in touch with Excel. Excel is a superior company.

Amazing new kitchen! Jim and Alicia created a design we would have never imagined. It was a major project that was very professionally managed from start to finish. We were very pleased with the level of customer service and courtesy of all the Excel team members who helped create our new kitchen and bar.

Excel remodeled our kitchen two years ago and we are still thrilled with it. They came in with a spreadsheet of the timeline of the work which detailed what was to be done each day and who was responsible for it. Even with an unexpected blip, they managed to maintain the timeline throughout the project. The subcontractors they used were polite, friendly, and excellent craftsmen. They cleaned up each day as much as possible so we could be in the adjacent family room in the evenings. I would definitely recommend Excel Remodeling and will use them for any future projects.

Excel did a wonderful job designing and constructing our new primary bathroom! We love it, especially out tile walk-in shower! Their attention to detail is incredible. Their communication is excellent. The designer, Brian, was easy to work with and had lots of fantastic and "outside the box" ideas for us to consider. The foreman, Bill, and all the subs were super friendly, wonderful craftsmen and respected our home during the whole process. We would recommend Excel to anyone who is contemplating a home remodel!

We are on our 3rd project with Excel and Alicia and could not be happier. Out first project was a big one! A Great Room addition and a covered deck that completely transformed our overall living space, both inside and outside. We also replaced our siding, gutters and front entry door. Alicia listened to every idea that we threw at her and she had creative ideas and solutions for everything! Bill, Seth and Tom worked for almost 2 months to complete the project so we could host Thanksgiving dinner for 25 people in our new space. Our 2nd project was a Primary bath remodel which was long overdue. Without changing the footprint of our current bathroom, the new design, materials and finishes created a spa like retreat for us that we absolutely love! Alicia and Bill solved a problem for us with a pocket door that added space and allowed us to remove a closet door. My personal favorites in our new bathroom are the heated tile floors and the oversized, recessed mirrored cabinets. Our final project was smaller in scale but included additional cabinetry in our family room with custom counter tops, a new entry door from our garage to our mudroom and ceiling repairs and fresh paint in our kitchen/family room area. Again, Alicia listened to our needs and made everything work within the existing space. Seth and Tom worked side by side to ensure every detail was perfect. If you can dream it, Alicia and the Excel team can make it a reality! Thank you, Jim, Alicia, Bill, Seth, Tom and all the painters and electricians that made our house into a special place for our family to grow!

From start to finish, the Excel experience has been spectacular. We live in a 1940 neocolonial, with a steeply pitched roofline. As we have aged, 1st floor living has become an imperative. We really wanted our addition to blend into the existing house as much as possible. Brian, our designer, took our concerns seriously, and reconfigured the addition several times to meet our goals. From using Hardiboard siding to the copper gutters, the result is exceptional. Bill, the lead carpenter on the project, has been a joy to work with. He has been on top of the job from beginning to end. Any concerns we had were addressed immediately. Excel's subcontractors showed up as scheduled and did quality work in a timely manner. I could go on. Was it cheap? No, but real quality never is. My wife and I are very pleased with the results, and hope enjoy our addition for years to come.

The Excel team just completed the 4th project we hired them to complete. We previously had Excel redesign our kitchen, both bathrooms and master bedroom, and now they have just finished our family room and foyer. Everything starts with a design that refreshes and draws out our interests, and Excel’s Brian Miller is an incredible designer. His brilliant, unique designs fully incorporate our thinking, and he engages us throughout to ensure all elements come together to our full satisfaction. On this most recent project, we had the great fortune of having Mike B as the lead carpenter and on-site craftsman, and Mike B was fantastic! He brings exceptional skills and is very customer engaging. Jim Miranda Jr. gives his team full reigns to be successful for us and all customers, and he stands behind the quality of craftsmanship. We couldn’t think of choosing someone other that Excel after the 4 wonderful experiences we’ve had with them. We highly recommend Brian for any design challenge and Mike B for any scale of renovation. Bravo, Excel!

We had a great experience working with Excel Remodeling in renovating our kitchen. Their expertise and suggestions help us to achieve a more functional and modern kitchen. Working with Alicia and the team was easy and they made the process a lot less stressful. We started and finish on time and with an excellent follow up service.

Fantastic experience! We were looking to remodel and update two bathrooms in our home, and wanted to avoid having to find multiple different contractors. Excel made the entire process so simple, from the perfect design choices (Alicia is so talented, and took our vision to design the perfect bathroom spaces for both the kids’ bathroom and our primary bathroom), to designing a work schedule that shared the exact work that would be completed each day, to the team who expedited each part of the renovation, everything was done with attention to detail and with great communication throughout the process. We are thrilled with our beautiful new bathroom spaces, and will definitely use Excel in the future.

Excel has been our Go-To since 1980 when they built our house. We have used them for many major and some minor projects including building an addition, and removing most interior walls to create an “open” concept to our floorplan. They also worked with an insurance company for the public water company when they, the water company, caused a major flood on our 2nd story bathroom. When we recently decided to get some competitive bids to replace our siding and roof, they came in thousands of dollars lower than the closest bid of two others! Excel offers a wide variety of styles and quality material to choose from. Their skilled workers and staff are professional and polite, respectful of our property inside and out. Their workmanship is exceptional. Communication is also top-notch from designing stage thru the final walk-thru. We’d give Excel a 10 Star rating if we could. What more could you ask of a home-improvement company? Thanks to you, Jim Mirando and your entire staff for another job well done.

We can't thank Excel Remodeling enough from the outside trim work completed on our home to look like new to our kitchen remodel project. After 30+ years our kitchen was transformed. What can seem like a daunting process was anything but from the start with Alicia, design specialist, who somehow pulled everything together with such ease to the impeccable woodworking and attention to detail by Tom, to the day to day project details and quality workmanship by Carlo, our new kitchen was beautiful and completed on time. Thank you again Excel Remodeling and to all your staff for an excellent job well done.

Jim and his team of tradesmen from Excel designed and remodeled our guest bathroom.  We are extremely pleased with the results, which includes all the cleanup, final touches, and follow-up to ensure our complete satisfaction.  To be honest, it is even better than we imagined...  Our project manager Mike was patient and quite caring about our happiness with his work. The tiler, electrician, plumber, and painter all provided the highest quality results.  Mike and his team found an existing problem and fixed it before moving on...we are grateful. Thank you for a spa bathroom that will last us for many years.

Excel has completed 3 remodelings for us - kitchen, master bathroom, and an absolutely spectacular screened porch. We've enjoyed working with them and can speak highly of their lead carpenter and project manager as well as the contractors they use. All are very conscientious!

Thank you to the Excel team who transformed our home! From the beginning process of design to the construction phase and final touches, everything was completed beautifully. The team is professional, timely, friendly and very responsive to any questions or issues during the process. We have had our kitchen, bathroom, living room and outdoor porches updated by Excel and will hire them for future projects. We are living in the high quality work that has been done by their team and are very happy with our decision to have Excel update our home.
